This presentation is designed to share stories about Jack Berner, soldier in the 10th Field Squadron Royal Canadian Engineers between 1939-1945. Jack who was an example of courage and was among the Canadian troops who fought for the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945. Jack’ stories are an eye opening about the complexity of human conflicts.

Bullying is unfortunately not a recent phenomenon. Using stories from his middle years, Terry will share about how he protected a fellow student from bullying in a school of four hundred students, Terry will share the dramatic effect of bullying in the lives of youths. Terry’s desire is to help students understanding why it is important to stand-up against bullying and how the solution reside in learning to treat each other with love and respect.

In the aftermath of the loss of his first wife, Terry will share about the grieving process that occur when you lose a loved one. Using a faith-based perspective Terry will speak about how he was able to move on with his life, find joy again and be thankful for the many blessings that are in our lives.
